The overall appearance of your bathroom will be a determinant in selecting the vanity light fixtures that you choose. Ideally, your bathroom lighting ideas should appear to seamlessly blend with the décor of your bathroom. For example, an individual who has a bathroom with light brown walls should opt for bathroom light fixtures in a dark brown frame. The design structure of the lighting fixtures you choose should blend with the overall appearance of other fixtures in your bathroom, such as the sink faucet or the countertop. For example, if the other fixtures in your bathroom are constructed of bronze, then the lighting fixture you choose should have elements or accents of bronze to create an overall cohesive feel to the bathroom.
In case of general room and patio lighting, you have a lot of options. I would recommend adding a vanity light fixture in tandem with another light at your living room and other rooms. The vanity lamps will enhance the looks of your room like no other light, and the multi-lamp vanity fixtures would also provide sufficient brightness. However, it may be good to have other lights if you want equal brightness across the room, and that is why using this kind of light with other lights at other parts of the room may be a good idea if you want this. Remember that the other light fixtures can be other vanity lights as well, and that would make your rooms even brighter and possibly better-looking.
Outdoor lighting using canning jars is good for the warmer climates or warmer seasons because these jars may shatter in the cold weather. But for a cooler spring or summer evening outdoors, you can use them with citronella oil and a floating candle for outdoor lighting that will also keep the bugs away.
Vanity lights are useful for two kinds of lightings. One of them is mirror front lighting and the other one is general room or patio lighting. While for mirror lighting it is the best choice for many reasons, for room and patio lighting it is one of the many choices, but has its own set of advantages.
The key to good lighting in your home is choosing what fits your decor and will work with any changes you might make in the future. While it's important to remember that you don't have to keep the same interior fixtures forever, you'll likely have them for the next ten years or so if you stay in the same home, so it might be worth it to take a little extra time making your choices.
